Martial Arts has long been known as a means of bringing mind, body, and spirit together in a balanced union. Through martial arts we will experience a dynamic meditation & the development of our "ki", an increase in mental awareness, and the development of our physical self.
It's been my experience that the more I fine-tune my physical body, the more receptive my spiritual self becomes -- kind of like polishing the mirror of a satellite receiver. Spirit seems to come through much clearer with a focused & aware mind and a well-honed physical self.
As a result, we can learn to heal ourselves (and others) in perhaps a more complete and balanced way. Whatever issues you may be struggling with, I have found that martial arts training can be of great benefit in dealing with, resolving, and eventually healing the impact of those issues on ourselves.
Self-discipline, physical conditioning, self-confidence, stress relief, and self-defense are just some of the benefits you will receive in our classes. Plus, we just plain have fun!!!
Come join us! Classes are beginner level. You don't have to be in any kind of physical shape or have any particular flexibility to start. Classes are geared toward you, the individual. Please wear comfortable clothing such as sweats and a t-shirt.
We will be using bag gloves, so bring them if you have them. If not, we do have a couple of pairs of bag gloves to loan to students during class. You may wish to purchase your own bag gloves at Big 5, Dick's Sporting Goods, or similar stores. Contact me if you have any questions.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend, as space is very limited.
