BEGINNER & DOGGIE PADDLE 2 HOURS ON PALMA SOLA BAY NEAREST TO ROBINSON PRESERVE

  • Apr 27, 2013 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Kayak Dayz will safely guide you on a slow laid back relaxed 2 hour beginner and novice kayak trip on smooth water.  This is a very easy paddle in the smaller Palma Sola Bay. We will circumnavigate the bay visiting a new area of islands being transformed into tunnels, continuing back into the bay to an area near Robinson Preserve so we should see water birds. We often see many porpoise on this paddle but never see any gators as this is salt water.

Thank you Kerry for a great time on the water. I am a novice with the kayak, so after your lessons and support in and out of the water, I feel more confident to attend future group outings. It was a fun and relaxing get-together. Of course I had alot of practice avoiding and backing out of the mangroves and other kayakers. And it was a pleasure to meet new folks. Highly recommend Kerry for beginners. He is patient, very well-organized, highly knowledgable and experienced.

Had a great time! Kerry, our guide, did a very good job instructing everyone on the proper paddling techniques and overall kayak safety. There were people of all skill levels at this outing. Kerry led the paddle through the mangroves into the preserve and paid close attention to the beginners. I believe that everyone enjoyed themselves and learned some valuable skills.

Hey, even though it's a basic paddle, it will be fun to get out and enjoy the afternoon on the water. I will actually be going out in the morning yak fishing so I'll just stop for a quick lunch afterwards and 'meet up' with y'all on the causeway. Let's get some more people out there...

My cell phone is[masked] Please feel free to call me and I will help you as much as I can. I will e-mail the classroom address on Thursday night to give more people time to RSVP and PayPal. Kayak Dayz members are very caring and flexible so as a group we can decide to omit the parade or do the restaurant first and the parade at 6:30. As long as everyone has a great time, that is what life and kayaking is about. BTW Kate be sure to bring a watch if you need to be some place at a certain time as you may have the only wristwatch in the group. I personally tell time by the direction of the sun so if it is a cloudy day my timing could be off. Yes, It is true I also navigate by using landmarks. Remember I have done these kayak trips hundreds of times like a bus driver on water. I have never been late for dinner.

Hi John, I sent you 3 e-mails for your rental payment, then sent everyone going an e-mail that the date was changed due to thunderstorm forecast. Then sent another e-mail to the entire group in case anyone was planning to attend about the date change. Oh, also Meet-Up sent an e-mail when I did change the date. Are you getting the e-mails??? I sent them to your e-mail you gave with your RSVP.
