All players must RSVP to be guaranteed a place in the game, provided a place exists.  Priority will be given to RSVPs, then to those waitlisted.

A simple family card game wherein players try to collect the most fairy-folk in their forest. Each folk has a special effect that triggers when (s)he is played and alters the balance of the game.

Use your spells to become the Grand Master of the Woods!

The Fantasy forest is in a state of upheaval! Fed up with all the chaos, the inhabitants have decided to elect their own leader. Gathered together in the middle of the forest, dryads, elves, goblins, hobgoblins and leprechauns are engaged in a fierce struggle to see who will become Grand Master of the Woods.

Each race has its own magical power: dryads can steal cards already played by an opponent, gnomes can take two extra cards... Knowing how to use these spells will be vital for victory! At the beginning of the game, each player receives five creature cards. On their turn, players draw a new card and then play a card from their hand, immediately applying its effects. In order to win, players will have to get the most creatures on their side.

Boss Monster: the Dungeon-Building Card Game

Boss_Monster_Retail_Box-smallBoss Monster the retro-inspired dungeon-building card game from indie publisher Brotherwise Games, is now available in game stores across North America! Designed for 2-4 players, Boss Monster is packed with nostalgic references to 8-bit video games, dungeon-crawling RPGs, and geeky pop culture. Players compete to become the ultimate villain: the final boss at the end of a side-scrolling dungeon.

How It Plays

The goal of Boss Monster is to attract and destroy adventurers more quickly than your opponents. As a Boss, you will build your dungeon one Room at a time. Each room has a treasure value to lure in Heroes, and a damage value to destroy them. The Heroes aren’t too much of a threat, but you run the risk of Wounds if you build a dungeon that’s all attraction and no bite. With Spells and “Level Up” abilities to spice up the gameplay, Boss Monster has a great balance of fast-paced fun and strategic depth to entertain a table with a range of casual and hardcore gamers.

Was a fun first event, thanks for having us. Dylan was a little unsure about playing at first but then wished he had, maybe he'll jump in next time.

As for the game, I was a big fan of the old 8 bit games and so really enjoyed the art and the theme, might just have to grab a copy. I didn't really care that much for the mechanics, but I suppose it is more of a casual game than a serious strategy.

Had fun as usual. Nice to see some new faces. Boss Monster was okay, but I'm not entirely sure we were playing it 100% correctly. I actually won but didn't realize it until a few turns later. Sounded like Maurice's side of the table was having a blast! Lot of people called it early at 8pm but a few of us stayed later and played the Fantasy card game. I like the art and the rules are very simple.

Yeah, our table had a lot of fun. I'd be more than happy to play some rounds next time we meet and see if I can clarify some of the rules. You guys did seem to be struggling a bit. :)

Bummed about no Boss Monster, but I ordered a copy that *might* come in by Thursday.

This was originally planned for Aaron / Kae, but with their church schedule I don't think they or Boss Monster will be making it. How about we add Aquarius, as that takes about as much time as Fantasy?

Whoops! You're right, forgot to un-RSVP to this.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
