Okay, it's time to try something a little different. Often we get people who want to play some of the longer, more rules-intense games (Eclipse, Game of Thrones, etc.) but can't find enough people or end up spending an hour teaching game rules to people who maybe weren't so interested in spending that hour learning board game rules in the first place! So I'm making a meet-up dedicated entirely to those games with the centimeter-thick rulebooks, thirty pages of errata and two tackleboxes of bits.
I'm also trying out a new location - The Cove, a pub just a few buildings down for our standard location. They're open later, and have a bit more expansive menu, so you can get dinner and also drink. Or three drinks.
I'd like if possible to limit this one to people who already knew at least a couple of the standard Long Complicated games - since we're starting late we may not have time to both explain and play things. Also note that this is an experiment in many ways, so it might not work out. Be prepared to adapt!
