Melbourne lenders celebrate seven years of small change, big difference with Kiva.
Celebrations are taking place around the world in October to celebrate nonprofit organisation Kiva.org's 7th birthday.
In Melbourne, Kiva lenders will gather at 6:30pm on 22nd October at Loop bar in the CBD to celebrate seven years of using small change to make a big difference.
Open to the public, the event is also a chance for people to learn more about the organisation and discover how easy it is for them to make a huge impact with only a little investment.
Since the organisation began, over $3.5 million has been lent through Kiva to assist low-income individuals and groups to start or expand their businesses, fund education and use the loans in myriad other ways.
Kiva's Melbourne celebration is a chance to invite more people to join other Australian lenders and continue to lend the money people need to take the next step, lifting them up and out of poverty.
