Weekday Knit & Sip Crochet Soiree

And, we're back!

Come and enjoy some tea and company, and let's get ready for Wrap Around 2013.

We'll meet in the front at Diesel.  Margaret Ryan will be there with yarn. Seating at Diesel can be very competitive. I will call them the morning of the meetup to confirm the number of people who are going. If your RSVP changes, please take the time to update your spot.

Because of space issues, I've capped the attendee list to 15. Please join the waiting list if you would like to come. I will be following up with people to confirm if they are coming closer to the meetup.

Hey Tori, I can give up my seat. What I'm working on requires better lighting that I remember.

    To Josephine and Erica,

This is a *very* friendly group. Beginners are *very* welcome. Feel free to bring whatever lap craft/yarn craft you do. Feel free to come if you don't knit or crochet, but want to learn. We have yarn, needles and hooks for beginners. We are *not* yarn snobs.

Tori, I'm more than willing to go to the Diesel early to make sure we have the back table.

    Bonny Z.

    Hi there,

Welcome! It's always so great to see new faces amongst friends. I would bring a project with you--whether it's something you're in the midst of doing, or something that you would like to create. The intention of this group is to give folks a place to work on projects for our November sale to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition, but people do bring their personal projects to work on. The group is made up of beginning to advanced knitters and crocheters, and those with more experience are very generous in lending their expertise to beginners. We usually do a round of introductions about 20 minutes into the meetup, and then I or Margaret (volunteer extraordinaire) talk a bit about the mission of the group, and what we have in store for the year. It's all very low key and fun.

Same question as Erica - this is my first meetup - what should I bring as well? I look forward to meeting you all and enjoying our craft together.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
