As a reader, there may be many reasons why we enjoy the books that we do. Maybe its the thrill of alien or far away lands, tons of action or way hot to trot romance, or even the vivid details and descriptions of enlightening concepts that attracts our attention. But in reality, more than anything, I'm willing to bet that the thing that draws us in the most is our love of the Characters in our stories.
Heroes and Heroines, Dastardly Villains and Cunning Rogues. That is the stuff of truly great adventures and wondrous tales.
This is a topic we have lit upon previously, but this time around we will go much deeper and really brainstorm and flesh out some actual living breathing characters that we can actually use in the works we are currently working on. Whether it be a convincing small part character, or your grander than life star, this will be a workshop geared at two things:
Focusing on the fact that we are all in our everyday lives, some of the most fascinating characters you could ever meet, and two, taking our new found knowledge of what makes characters tick and actually rolling out some great from scratch characters which really can be useful in our current and future works.
