Knowledge Workers: Technology - Toronto gathers regularly to discuss Enterprise 2.0 technology deployments, including (but not limited to) social intranets, wikis, adaptive workflow and social network analytics.
Today's workforce relies heavily on technology to implement it's methods. But beyond technologies that follow pre-ordained strategies set by executives, cutting-edge knowledge-driven organizations depend on collaboration technologies to enable collaborative patterns of work, drawing on the expertise and motivations of individuals at all levels in the enterprise.
Social Technologies are a clear example: empowering a new breed of engaged worker able to not only execute their own tasks but to lead through their network to advance ever-evolving complex goals. These empower the modern agile workforce to outwit and out-manoeuvre competitors often much bigger than themselves.
This meeting group started as the Toronto Wiki Tuesday Meetup, started in 2005. In late 2010 we aligned this meetup inside our headline brand "Knowledge Workers". Meetings are typically on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
