Haven't drummed in circle for the better part of 10 years. But for the decade before that, I have been to many drum circles all over the country, and hosted several years worth as well as classes when the space was open for seasons at the time.
I just want to get my feet wet and my hands warm right now. I enjoy the big, energetic, wild drumming events just like most others. But for right now, I wish to find some smaller less party focused groups or group to find the beat again.
Hahahahaha! I only kept the skinless drums, but are you asking about African, native American including Caribi, Indian (dot, not feather) or Middle Eastern? Doumbek is my favorite, I have kept two of those. Tabla is another of my favs, and I also have an Ashiko. Gave my Djembe away as it was "too big" and I felt a bit to main stream for me.
I just want to see one!
Just looking around at the moment, pretty new in an old sort of way!
