Welcome to a Social Activity Group for People & their Dogs!

Hi - my name is Lori Rizzo, and I've created this group because I'd love to get out and meet people - without always leaving my dogs at home alone! The purpose of this group is to help get social dog owners together by organizing activities that would be fun, active and social. This is not a formal dog training or animal activist group. Singles, married & kids are welcome - I've been all three (ha ha). Some ideas I have are dogwalking meetups (greenbelt in Maryville, Northshore, etc.), picnics/games at the park (kickball with the dogs?), relaxed group obedience training sessions, FAC, & outdoor coffee shop get togethers. My only expectation for members is that your dog is social and safe around other people or other dogs - and you are willing to help out with the games or bring coffee! I'm new to the Knoxville area, so need some help with locations. I'm hoping most of our outings can be in West Knoxville, so we Maryville people (like me) don't have to travel so far. If you're thinking this would be neat, join up and we can start planning our outings!
