The American Sewing Guild is a national organization with chapters all over the US.  Chapters are made up of neighborhood groups which meet monthly.  The Knoxville chapter has 3 neighborhood groups, Maryville, West Knoxville and Sevierville. Each neighborhood group has a leader (and often a co-leader) who plans a program for each meeting.  The dues are paid to the national organization and are $50 per year for the first year and you can renew each year for $45.  Non-members can visit twice before joining the organization.  Membership is made up of all skill levels.  We have very skilled members with teaching certifications and  we have entry level beginners and all levels in between.
