Good. I am glad to find some support. The forest was fascinating, indeed. But the park has vast network of unpaved trails that may present challenge. No signs of any kind, just use your memory. One has to be on alert all the time and not get lost. We don't want losses. But asphalt road is easy. When we go?

Yes, Alex, it's terrific. The Greenway walkers went there this morning. There's a choice of a paved path or many natural surface trails. The iris were just beginning to bloom and many dogged dogwood holding on. Lovely!

I suggest to set Haw Ridge park as a goal for one of our next meetings. The park is between Oak Ridge and northern Knoxville. I was there yesterday. It was a real adventure.

Hey Buckaroos, The weatherman is now saying that there is a chance of showers about the time we plan to walk. Please don't let that intimate you, if it rains we can always decide to gather at some watering hole, take in a movie or whatever. Its always good to enjoy the weekend with the comradery of this group.

Hi Dawn, I hope Robert's response was helpful. Folks usually walk in one direction for 30 minutes and then turn around and walk back. There tends to be 2 groups: those who walk a little bit faster and those who don't. Hope that helps! :)

    • Kimberly C.

Hi Dawn, if you're referring to the distance. It depends on where you're coming from. You can get directions from google maps. The address is 11808 Northshore Drive, Knoxville, TN.
