Walk the Adair/Sue Clancy Greenway (North Knoxville)

Let's get out and enjoy the beautiful, spring weather on an hour-long walk along the Adair/Sue Clancy Greenway!

We'll meet in the parking lot nearest to the rest rooms (see map).

Directions: Take Broadway exit off of I-40 and go north; turn left on Adair Drive and go about three-quarters of a mile; park is on right.

If trails are too short indeed we may migrate to other park. I know very spacious and picturesque park located about 10 miles west of Adair. Its name is Solway park adjacent to Haw Ridge park and it is east of Oak Ridge just north of Karns. The park is accessible via HWY 62. There is a lake nearby as well. I am not sure that all trails are asphalted.

aabogda, The walkway is 5.6 miles one way, no loop, the best way to walk it is to park toward the center in order to get back at the vehicles avoiding an 11.2 mile walk......and it is beautiful!!!! Probably best to plan to walk only 1/2 at a visit.

Whoa, I just Googled the park and there are many negitive comments at to the characters that hang out in that park. I have driven by many times and stopped once to check the diagramed walkway.

For some it was a short walk. But, the weather was a bit warm, the trail was short, but the company was great.

I'm sorry I didn't make it there and didn't notify you. My errands ran longer than expected and I didn't have my cell phone with me. I apologize if you waited and I held you up. I hope you had an enjoyable walk.

The streamer (red and white) is attached to a red bud tree at the beginning of the walk.

Sue and I went there today. We walked the circles in the park. They are pretty short. Tomorrow, we plan to check out the trail beside the Adair Creek. I'll check a map before we go. It looks like it may be the more rewarding walk.

I know spacious and exciting park about 10 miles west of Adair. Its name is Solway park and it is located off HWY 62 between Oak Ridge and Karns. It could be considered for our next trip.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
