Noodle Battle - Ma Dang Gook Soo

Another entry in our ongoing Noodle Battle! Both Ma Dang Gook Soo and Olympic Noodle specialize in kalgooksoo, the yummy hand cut noodles served up in a delicately flavored broth. A few of us visited Olympic Noodle a while back, and it will be interesting to compare the two. MDGS is located in the same mall as BCD Tofu House and E Moon Oak. I believe they are "cash only," so please be prepared to give the plastic a rest.

I love noodles...what can I say? I especially like them hand cut.

I would definitely go back here again for the light healthful food at reasonable prices.

Very nice group. This restaurant serves a lot of noodles, taste average. We got good service from 2 waitresses - both were named Ms. Lee. Kim chee was mild, but sauces were hot.

Yep and soups are hard to share, so I'll be prepared to just order one thing for myself too, of course.

We could order "family style;" however, not everyone likes this...

Anyone know the difference between #3 (Spicy Mixed Noodles) and #4 (Elastic Spicy Noodles)?

After perusing the blog entries, I'm hoping to try (of course majority rules!):

    #1 Handmade Noodles $7.85
    #3 or #4 Spicy Noodles $7-$7.50
#8 Buckwheat Noodles with Soy Milk $8.25
#11 Rice Cake with Dumpling Soup $7.50
    #14 Mountain Vegetable w/Rice/Meat (Bibimbap) $8.25
    #?? Steamed Dumplings $5.95

I've been to Olympic twice...we had a meetup there, and I went back a few weeks later for a nice bowl of noodles in anchovy broth.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
