OK, we've been to Olympic Noodle, now let's try a new place that looks like it could be better! I walked past this place while prowling the immediate area around Keungama last Friday during our last meetup, as I tend to do, locating any interesting new places to research for possible future outings. Nae Go Hyang smelled so good, it totally trumped the rest of the giant 2 floor outdoor mall it is situated in. Yelp reviews confirmed my instincts; this place serves good and large portions of various soups such as knife-cut noodles (kalgooksu), torn-dough noodles (sujaebee), cold soups, etc. Plus dumplings (mandoo), pancakes (pajeon), spicy squid and more, of course. In addition, the Yelp reviewers often say how much they like the kimchee!
I'm keeping this meetup small for now, since it is a small restaurant.
Afterwards I highly recommend visiting the Assi supermarket, it's right across the street and if you need any shopping done, it's a very clean spacious market with a lot of interesting things to try. They have their own giant parking lot and they have the sweet squid and also pancake (ho-tteok) vendors outside, which is always a good sign.
p.s. Some time we'll have to try Koo's for their version of those pancakes.
