Mongolian Hotpot Lunch, Japanese-Korean Style

I attended an event here with LA Asian Foodies a few years ago.  It was GOOD! I'm interested to see if there are any changes (better or worse) since the last time I was there.

This is a lunch meetup because dinner is 23.99, and I am sure all of you would prefer 9.99!

We have a choice of a spicy and a non-spicy broth. They have divided pots if you're interested in trying both.

It is vegetarian friendly (probably not vegan) as a large veggie plate comes with the "Genghis Khan" option, which also has Chuck Top Blade. I thought there was a veggie-only option, but assorted mushrooms and extra vegetables can be ordered as sides.  So non-meat eaters are welcome!

They are in the same mini-mall as Biergarten, so they are fairly easy to find.  There is valet parking and some street parking on Western Blvd.

Here is some reading to pique your appetite

We had a great time and tasted some interesting dishes - including 2 types of shabu shabu meats with various vegetables including crown daisies, enoki mushrooms, nappa cabbage and udon noodles as well as sliced meats. Delicious sauces and a delicious potatoe salad banchan.
To top it off we had the spiciest octopus around - cleared the sinuses and then some! Thanks Andree for revitalizing this great find - Khan!

Who are the 3 mystery guests?

If it is as good as the last time we were here, it may become a "regular" event.

Sure, NOW it's lunch. Too late to fit in. Sad for me.

Shabu + Shabu = Description. Actually I didn't look at my notes - now that I do I see it's something I want to do for Lunch, not Dinner so I'll back out for now.
