Please be on time because our reservation is for 7:00 PM and there are 2 huge groups coming in at 7:30PM and we won't be seated unless we are all present!

Happy Birthday Susan!

Many of us are big fans of Soowon Galbi. It is one of the newer and best Korean BBQ places  with tasty banchan and good quality meats.

Let's order Family Style (since this is their specialty,) so please bring small bills to split the bill evenly.

This was one of the best meetups ever for Korean BBQ Foodies. We had a great time. Not only did everybody show up who RSVP'd, but also Wison came and had just flown in from Paris! Thanks Wilson for coming and also bringing nice birthday presents for Susan and I. April birthdays rule! Of special note, we had new members Go and joining us - Susan was so joyful for her birthday. And most of all the cheery Darcy who is always a pleasure at any meetup - enthusiastic about trying new foods and joy.

Of special note, we had new members Go and joining us - and of course Susan was so joyful for her birthday. And most of all the cheery Darcy who is always a pleasure at any meetup - enthusiastic about trying new foods and fun at the table. Soowon Galbi gave us excellent service as usual, a nice table, and - par for the course - 13 types of banchan and free beer with our combo dinner which cost us $26 each for 5 people. Nonetheless - Wilson had his own order of Galbi with no less than 4 huge strips and a special grill to cook them on. Nobody left hungry - and the banchan was refilled for us about 10 times! Don't miss Soowon Galbi next time - one of the best Korean BBQ's in Los Angeles.

Oh, my Lord! Noisy, crazy, fun, party time: and that was only me! Our serious foodies insisted on limited discussons of the delicious banchans, Korean etiquette for the dipping sauces, and restricted, conversations between amazing grilled meats. Because of the "party-like" coversations in the entire restaurant, I could not hear tablemates' chat, so I watched Barcelona's soccer humiliation loss (replay) to reigning champs from the UK--(Only for the moment: eine klein undt berliner. Gooooal: Germany!) on the big screen TV, and partied with a competing group of 24 other Bday party people from another huge, harmonious, fun-loving group. BTW: a 6 piece, Korean, drum-banging entourage came out three times to do the percussion thing, & sing for 3 different Happy Bdays, including our Susan. Soowon, it's that good! Loved that soju: the labelling on the bottle told me "I would feel so fine!" and I did! Good job, Louis, and thanks to Go, Linda, & John. Wilson: always a delight 2 C you.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
