Happy New Year all! I hope all of you had a great holiday. This is a new year and hope you will have many blessings! Koreans for the beginning of each year must have their good luck meal which is Duk gook (rice cake soup-don't underestimate the rice cake, it can take on so many forms!). It's said to eat this will bring you luck for the rest of the year. So, this will certainly be one of the dishes we feature. It's delicious, easy, fancy and fun to eat. Usually Koreans put meat dumplings in as well and so will we for the meetup. This is generally considered as a comfort food and on the menus at most Korean restaurants. We will also make Jaeyook bokum (kimchi, pork & tofu) which is one of my favorite foods! Very, very savory... This time I'm going to try splitting the group so those that can make it on Friday can come then and others on Saturday. We'll try it this time around and see how it goes. Although you're more than welcome to come on both days be aware we will be featuring the same recipes so that more people can experience the foods. It's been so much fun for the past meetups and I thank you for your interest! Looking forward to the next one! :) Kya

Amazing cuisine! I hope to experience many more Korean dishes in the near future, especially the soups and stews...I plan for my sister and I to attend the next event.

Not a good experience, food was very fresh and authentic but not tasty. Company was not good.

Didn't I already pay? I am so looking forward to Kya-made Korean food! I happen to think Kya is a very good cook.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
