Yes, 5 years ago. Visited my family - aunts, uncles, and cousins. I had been taking Korean classes, but when I got to Korea - they spoke so fast I really had a hard time keeping up. I got discouraged, but I want to keep up my language skills and want to practice speaking again.
In the past, but not recently. I love Korean dramas and watch with my grandmother. I need the English text as I catch about every 3rd word.
Yes - Gim Bop, Bibim Bop, Kalbi, Dok Gook, Dok Bokee - I can make most of the dishes.
Friendly conversation and practice speaking Korean. I can understand a lot of Korean, but my speaking skills are awful. By the time I think of something to say - the moment is lost - another reason I don't speak. My mom and grandmother speak and I just listen. My grandmother likes me to speak English to her and she Speaks Korean to me, but now I lost my ability to speak well. I need practice!
Hello, I live in Rowlett, TX. I am half Korean. I used to speak Korean very well as a child, but over the years I have forgotten. I would like to socialize with some Koreans. I took 3 years of Korean in school, so I can read and write a little.
I love it and will be back.
