I posted something similar to the following announcement last year, but it disappeared. Here it is again:

You probably noticed a lot of "notes" in the calendar section. I hope you find them useful.

HOW TO USE GROUP'S CALENDAR
AND A FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT IT:

-------------------------
"EVENTS" VS. "NOTES"

On the calendar, you will see "Notes" and "Events."

"Notes" are just for your information or "No-Host Events."

"Events" are hosted events by one ore more members of the group, so you want to attend for sure! So come on out and let's have fun!

-------------------------
"SAVE THE DATE" NOTES

"Save the Date" notes are semi-confirmed events, pending confirmation of few crucial elements: instructors, location, event hosts, etc. Because we have many organizers and event hosts, the "Save the Date" notes will be posted so that no others will consider double-booking the date.

When you see the "Save the Date" note, please do save the date! Details are coming soon!

-------------------------
NO-CONFLICT RULE

I want everyone to meet, unite and become friends! I do my best not to post events that cause conflicts. You may see multiple events on the same day if the events are held far enough, if it's something completely in different nature, etc.

When you make recommendations or want to post events, please consult with the calendar first. Let's have fun TOGETHER!

I hope you find the information useful.
