Those of us who have participated in the Christmas Caroling have been greatly touched by the reception from the seniors we have sung for. They have so warmly and excitedly received us, flaws and all. It’s been one of the most moving experiences I’ve ever had.
For those of you who have not had the opportunity to participate in the Christmas Caroling, I hope you can find the time to join us. If you didn’t attend a rehearsal, that’s okay. We have the lyrics and we just wing it. If we mess up, we laugh it off and move on. The seniors probably don’t even notice as they are singing along with us.
Debbie Hubbard sent me a link last night and I want to share it with you.
I’ve seen these types of events on YouTube before I it always brings tears to my eyes.
So Debbie and I want your feedback about whether or not our group of songbirds would be willing to give this a shot. We would need at least 15 people to participate. We won’t do anything as elaborate as this, but maybe we could get permission from Circle Center Mall to sing in the food court.
I am going to create a poll on the meetup site. Please vote yes or no to doing something like this. If we get 15 yeses, then I will contact Circle Center Mall.
