Yoga at the Historic Y: Numerology Series, 6

One of the traditions within Kundalini Yoga is numerology, a system that allows us to understand our life and self with greater depth. This week in our series on Blessings Code Numerology, we'll explore the significance of the number 6, which relates to the arc line: the nucleus of the aura and the balance point between the physical and spiritual realms. This energy body is responsible for projection and protection. Those with a 6 in their charts tend to be sensitive to issues of justice for others and themselves, and to the environments where they live. A balanced 6 can bring powerful focus to prayer and meditation, protecting others with only their presence, whereas a 6 out of balance may suffer from a weak immune system, low self-esteem, and overprotective tendencies. This week we'll do a kriya to awaken the pituitary gland, which governs the arc line, and a meditation to strengthen this energy body by enhancing your intuition.

Although this series builds on the concepts learned in previous weeks, it's fine to jump in midstream. Come for all thirteen weeks or dip in whenever the time is right for you. Price is $7-$10 drop-in (sliding scale), four-class punch card for $25, or eight-class punch card for $45. Pay with cash or check on the day of class, or contact me at erin AT or (520)[masked] to make an advance reservation using Paypal. Parking is available in the lot behind the building (off Herbert) and on the east side of Fifth Ave. Mats and blankets are available, but you may wish to bring your own mat, water, shawl, and a pillow for maximum comfort. Also consider bringing a reusable travel mug. Yogi tea will be served after class.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
