Year Series

2013-A Year Exploring Bound Lotus Kriya
with Sat Ardas

Wednesday Nights
6:30-7:45 pm

"You surrender to a lot of things which are not worthy of you. I wish you would surrender to your radiance...your integrity...your beautiful human grace." Yogi Bhajan

Our year adventure exploring the foundations of Bound Lotus Kriya continues this month with specific yoga sets and meditations expressing our grace and humility through the act of bowing. This Wednesday we explore the power of bowing to stimulate the lymphatic system and access our vitality.

This class is inspired by the mantra Humee Hum Too Hee Too Wahe Guru- I am Thine, in mine, myself, Ecstacy of Inner Wisdom. We will use this frequency in meditation to feel peace and tranquility within ourselves and have the opportunity to shine it out throughout the world. Everyone is welcome.

$5 first class

$10 single or punch pass

About Bound Lotus Kriya

Many years ago I took my first yoga workshop with Mahan Kirn at Summer Solstice. I was immediately taken with her story and a uniquely challenging gem known as Bound Lotus Kriya (Click here to read her story). At first glance the physical aspects of this kriya can awaken the negative mind eliciting a “I can’t do that because (fill in the blank)”. For others, the ego takes charge often pushing the physical body past its limits causing injuries. Sadly, both responses limit our access to the powerful healing benefits of this ancient practice.

With this in mind, I want to invite everyone on a one year journey to prepare and explore the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of this kriya. Each month we will focus on a theme that supports not only a balanced Kundalini Yoga practice, but that which makes the impossible possible.

    Sat Naam
I would love to go, after watching the video and carefully trying the position, I think I need more preliminaries to improve my flexibility. I look forward to
    learning the bound lotus soon.
