Hike Plotter Kill

This hike will be on the Blue trail, and will last approximately 2 to 3 hours. It is approximately 2.5 miles in length.

The Plotter Kill does have some rocky inclines. It is muddy! This will be a moderate hike due to the wet conditions. Rugged/waterproof hiking boots are necessary to participate in this hike.

Minimum age is 8 (8-15 yrs must have a participating adult with them, 16-17 yrs must have a parent/guardian sign participant agreement but do not need to attend)

  • please be dressed for the weather, we will go rain/snow or shine
  • Dress in layers. Wear moisture-wicking base layers on both the top and bottom, a jacket and appropriate hiking/snowshoeing footwear
  • please bring water, snacks and any personal medicines you may need as well as rain gear, day pack and snowshoes if we have snow.
  • camera and/or binoculars if you have them

Please park in the parking area on Mariaville Rd. This will be on the right side of Mariaville Rd AFTER you pass Coplon Rd. If you have any questions or concerns on the morning of the outing please call Kate on her cell [masked]. I hope you can join us for an enjoyable hike at this amazing place!!

I had a wonderful time - weather cooperated, very little mud and the hike was great. Thanks to both Kate and Dorothy for taking time and guiding the group - it's appreciated. Looking forward to Dyken Pond on Saturday.

I just discovered I have two events at church, taking place on the 17th. I tried to get out of the one, but I wasn't able to do anything about the second, so I have to miss the hike. ;<
