Join us at the Grafton State Park Winter Festival. The event runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Some highlights are: ice fishing tournament; horse drawn sleigh rides; Polar Plunge; kids contests; nature and art exhibits and snowshoe/hikes lead by the L.L. Bean Outing Group.
Stop by the booth (located next to the Park Office) to sign up for the hike/snowshoe (depending on snow coverage) that you would like to do; there will be 3 different trail routes that we will complete (routes vary in level of difficulty from easy to moderate). Bring your snowshoes if you have them or you may rent snowshoes at the park office. The first snowshoe/hike starts at 11:00 and will run on the hour and will last approximately 40-45 minutes.
If you have a Grafton "green" trail card, bring that with you and get some trails completed. If not, we will have them there for you to start one.
Please dress for the weather. Wear base layers on top and bottom, warm waterproof boots, and a heavy winter jacket. I will re-post about the conditions as the event gets closer.
