Hands down it will be cycling! I also enjoy Nordic skiing. If I am not thinking about getting my heart rate up then my favorite outdoor activities are walking my great black lab and of course working in my flower gardens.
We used to live 2 miles from a large public swimming pool. In the summer the American Red Cross would offer swimming lessons in the morning. My brothers and I would ride our bikes down to the pool for our lessons and then ride back home for lunch. We then would wait until 1:00p.m. when the pool would open again for afternoon swim. We would then ride our bikes back to the pool, swim for two hours, and then ride back home. We repeated this everyday for the entire summer and loved every second of it.
I just got a new kayak and each time I go out to paddle I get more attached to the sport. I am eager to learn the best places to paddle in the Albany area. Meeting some friendly kayak buddies would be a lovely bonus for joining this group.
Excellent! The L.L. Bean Outing Group is lead by very knowledgeable and enthusiastic leaders. Dorothy and Karen always make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time. : )
