Hacking Agile with Users - User-Driven Development & The Lean Enterprise
Just as Agile development drastically changed the waterfall-based software world, Lean Startup will drastically change Agile. Eric Ries has been teaching us how to deal with uncertainty in the business world. It's about time Agilists took advantage of these techniques to apply them to the whole software development process.
In this talk, Alline Watkins will explore how the User-Driven Development Process can improve Agile development. The UDD process was invented by Alline while working on a 100% Scrum project at Nike, and further explored in the blog UserDrivenDev.com .
- The 5 steps of UDD: Ideation, The Small Improvements Meeting, Development, User Experience and Metrics Analysis
- How to define, plan and prioritize tasks based on user experience and usage metrics
- Minimum Viable Product for enterprises
- Focus on end users: How to drastically reduce Agile meetings
- Disadvantages of the Product Backlog and up-front planning
- How to improve stand-up meetings
If you're interested in the cutting edge of Agile, you won't want to miss this meeting!
