I am interested in documentaries as a way of raising awareness of issues and as a way to change people's minds.
I would like to know how they approach the craft and the nature of the challenges they face. I would also like to understand why they are filming. Are they just wanting to share knowledge or are they interested in exposing a hidden truth so that people will respond?
Too numerous to list -- some I would consider fringe docs: Gasland, A Thin Blue Line, Roger and Me, Hoop Dreams, Paradise Lost (Series), Heart of Darkness, The Smartest Guys in the Room, numerous works on the run up to the Iraq war and post invastion as well as works on the economic crisis.
Unfortunately I can't say I have a favorite at this time.
Hello, I am looking forward to meeting you and learning more about your projects and work!
