I am a machine learning researcher at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where we are attempting to apply "big data" methods to pediatric health data in hopes of improving the practice of pediatric critical care.
Hi Dave, have you looked at The University of Plymouth developing biologically-inspired artificial systems that can progressively develop their cognitive capabilities through the interaction with their environments. The artificial neural networks work on visual processing, linguistic and somatosensory inputs while performing millions of calculations needed to activate the neural network every 50-100 milliseconds. Solutions run ~5X faster with CUDA GPUs. I don't have an actual contact yet.
Hi Dave! I am fairly new to artificial neural networks and deep belief networks. I'm only in my second year of researching efficacy of ANNs in analysis of biological data and proteomics. I hope we get the chance to meet in the near future :)
I saw I'm your 3rd accepted attendee :)
