HiPIC (High-Performance Information Computing Center) at California State University Los Angeles (CSULA) – Director, Prof Jongwook Woo who has awarded teaching grant of Amazon Web Service – provides a summer certificate program titled “Could Computing with Hadoop MapReduce and HBase”.
The training will be total 8 classes at 6:10-9:10pm on Monday/Wednesday from June 29th to Aug 3rd at CSULA. The tuition is $1,400. Course Description (Mon/Wednesday, June 29th - Aug 3rd)
Each lecture will be composed of first half as a lecture to theoretically understand the topic and the second half is the practical hands-on exercise at CSULA lab classroom.
Upon completion of the lecture and training, the students/trainee will be able to:
• identify the cloud computing, especially Hadoop MapReduce, HDFS, HBase.
• understand how to install Hadoop and HBase
• comprehend how to write Hadoop codes in MapReduce
• understand how to implement HBase table
• know how to integrate Hadoop MapReduce code with HBase table
Upon completion of the traning, each student/trainee will receive “Hadoop MapReduce and HBase Education Service Training” certificate by HiPIC of CSULA.
