LA Single Boomers Message Board › Hands For Hope Starlight Jazz Serenade
Sherman Oaks, CA
For nine years H4H has been blessed to have top jazz artists perform for us at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in N Hollywood. On Feb. 5, 2010 we will once again host one of the best kept secret concerts, which includes at least four stellar smooth jazz performances, a delicious VIP reception, a silent auction with instruments autographed by the artists and a special surprise performance by the Hands for Hope Kids.
The Starlight Jazz Serenade is an annual fundraiser for the non-profit 501c(3) Hands for Hope (H4H ). This highly anticipated event is one of the reasons why H4H has been able to help underprivileged children and single parents receive the kind of loving support that it takes to raise and nurture the hopes, dreams and abilities of a child through free after school programs and single parent support groups and events.
The Starlight Jazz Serenade is held every year in the No Ho Music & Arts District and H4H brings together some of the brightest stars in smooth jazz with the community's elite to shine in one evening of great entertainment. The concert attracts attendee's not only from the San Fernando Valley, but also from the city of Los Angeles and the surrounding counties.
This event is unique due to its' all-star line-up and its' diverse crowd. This is one night where those who love great music can come together for a good cause. It also enhances the "New" No Ho Music & Arts District by fostering the arts and attracting attendees from all over Southern California to experience all of the new development/attractions in the area.
