Announcing a new Meetup for LA Single Boomers!
What: Spring Dinner Dance
When: Sunday, April 18, 2010 6:00 PM
16101 Ventura Blvd, Suite 160
Encino, CA 91436
Events come and go, but few are memorable. We try to remember this as we plan new events. But, what’s the best combination of food, entertainment, variety and quantity of people, and value? It’s not always easy for any organizer.
On Sunday night, April 18 at 6:00 PM we’ll have an event at the Mediterranean Express in Encino (16101 Ventura Blvd, at Woodley, Ste 160, in the back on the ground level) that we feel will deliver a superior experience.
We’ve changed our format and added two new attractive, dynamic groups to our list of co-sponsors. We should be promoting this event to over 8000 single boomers.
First, we’ve invited back one of our old favorites, the Sidetracks trio, to play contemporary and oldies music for your dancing and listening pleasure.
Second, we’ve changed our dining format: We’ll have waitress service to your table and you’ll be able to order off of the specially prepared menu.
Your admission price of $20, prepaid for the first 50, or $25 at the door, will include a full dinner platter of your choice, dancing, and live entertainment in a beautiful setting (the restaurant fills its 250 seats every Saturday night).
Here’s the lineup of food choices:
Chicken Koobideh-Two skewers of ground chicken, blended with special seasonings and char grilled to perfection.
Boneless Chicken Kabob-Chunks of deliciously marinated pieces of lean chicken breasts, char grilled to perfection. This is my favorite!
Koobideh-Two skewers of juicy charbroiled specially seasoned ground beef.
Beef Shish Kabob-This Turkish-style kabob consists of prime signature chunks of beef, bell peppers and onions skewered and charbroiled to enhance their flavor to the utmost.
Lamb Shank-Lamb Shank cooked to perfection in tomato sauce with herbs and onion, served with basmati rice mixed with herbs, fresh dill and baby fave beans.
Steamed Vegetable Plate
All entries will be served with basmati rice, topped with saffron & grilled tomato. Appetizers, drinks, soups, salads, and desserts are optional and available to order.
We’ll have special drink prices:
Bottled water $2.00
Soft drinks $3.00
House wine $5.00
Premium Brands $7.00
Free parking is available on the street or you can pay $3.00 at the underground valet at the Woodley Ave. entrance.
From Pasadena to South Bay to Westlake we don't think you'll find a greater party value.
The restaurant is only one mile west from the 405, just 15 minutes from the Westside, and easily assessable from the west Valley exits, Balboa or Haskal.
We encourage all of you not to procrastinate and to make your reservations ASAP. For those who are used to paying at the door, the price again for the entire evening will be $25. But, for the first 50 people who can make a decision soon and prepay below, the cost will only be $20.
We hope to see you. It should really be a great evening!
