This was our most popular event last summer and I met lots of fun people! This event is on Friday evening, after a week of work. Most peeps just wanto to relax by the bonfire while mingling with whoever is to their left or right. It's always a great time!
So, we are starting a series of summer bonfires and this will be our second. Let's welcome the warmer weather along with the nice ocean breeze!!!! Let's sit by the bonfire and enjoy some food and drinks (Please note, NO alcoholic beverage is allow at this state beach).
Please bring $5 cash to participate in this event. Please also feel free to bring some munchies to share and something to drink. We will bring the firewood, some munchies, water, sodas, hot dogs, buns, marshmallows, graham cracker, chocolate and condiments. If you need dinner, pick up something and eat it at the beach. It's quite relaxing!
Please do warm clothing in case it gets a bit nippy.
I used to bring games but realized most people enjoy each others company more and/or making s'mores and hot dogs. I will just make sure we have enough hot dogs, buns, condiments, and everything needed to make that delicious s'mores.
This event is on a Friday evening and most of us probably worked all week and just want to relax. After the bonfire we will head over to the Custom Hotel for the Bonfire Afterparty! The Afterparty is posted on this group as a separate event. You should also come out to the Afterparty to continue the fun and meet even more people!
Parking: Between $6 - $10 per car. Try to carpool. Dockweiler State Beach closes at 10PM and they stop letting cars into the parking lot as early as 9:15PM. Arrive a little bit early to park in the parking lot. If you choose to park on the street, please remember right at 10PM, the city tickets all vehicle parked on the street (last year, the ticket was $68 and I think it's $73 this year). I strongly advise you to park in the parking lot as you won't get a ticket and so that you can stay later.
