It’s hard to believe, but the official end of summer, the Labor Day holiday weekend, is fast upon us.
We’ve had two parties at my house this summer; one during Memorial Day Weekend, and one during July 4th weekend. Between the two we had almost 350 people attending. Our first party on Memorial Day was a sellout. One of our favorite entertainment duos, David Maestro & Kenyatta Mackey, was there to belt out some old favorites and get everybody up and dancing. It was such a great evening that we invited them back for our Labor Day Weekend Party on September 5 at 7:00 PM.
We’ll be serving our traditional barbecue fare: hot dogs, hamburgers and barbeque chicken. We’ll even have some veggie-burgers for those who don’t eat meat. We’ll also serve four cold dishes including a vegetable salad with mixed greens, a pasta dish and two vegetarian dishes. There will be plenty of choices and food for everyone. We’ll also serve iced tea, lemonade, assorted soft drinks and bottled water.
As in the past, to assure your comfort and safety, we will cap the attendance at 200 people. We had to turn 25 away for our Memorial Day party so make sure you reserve and pay for your ticket as soon as possible. This has been a difficult summer financially for most people. Attendance is down in all venues including shows, ballgames, theaters and parties. We’ve tried real hard to hold our prices and deliver a great value. The cost of our party will again be $20 prepaid, and $25 at the door if space permits. If you are planning to do something over the holiday this will probably be one of the best choices available.
We’ll have seating for 60-70 people. There is just so much room on the property for secure seating. So, if having a steady seat at the party is important for you, please come early or bring a pad or blanket to sit on in our lawn areas
As usual, we will cross promote our event with many other singles groups, meet up organizations, and social groups in southern California. We expect that more than 8000 people will see our party information. Thanks in advance for the many of you who pass out our individual party information cards.
