Introduction to the LA Design Community

  • March 21, 2013 · 7:00 PM

Presented by General Assembly + HUGE (Todd Lefelt, Managing Director of UX)
Complimentary popcorn and drinks will be served.

This free class is an orientation to help newcomers and recent design school graduates get acquainted with the exciting world of design in Los Angeles. We will canvas key events/meetups to attend, people, companies, blogs, hot issues, and talk about the best way to go about securing an entry level UX position. Learn the role of key players such as the Los Angeles UX Meetups, CreativeMornings, as well as arts and innovation complexes such as ATX. After class you are encouraged to network with a number of prominent designers at HUGE.

There were a few of you who had asked me about Agile project management or agile workflow. I just got this notice today which might be a cool webinar to watch: http://meetu.ps/KDLWW

Also, UXPA of LA's link is: http://www.meetup.com/LA-UXPA/

We're in the infancy stages of starting a mentorship and student outreach program. We also list jobs both high level and junior. It's free to join so hope to see you at our next event! (It's on Big Data and it's going to be in May!)
