** One person will win the opportunity to pitch Sam Teller**

This free class is an orientation to help newcomers to the startup scene get acquainted with the exciting world of tech in Los Angeles. We will canvas key events/meetups to attend, people, companies, VCs, blogs, hot issues, and more. After class you are welcome to network with a number of prominent folks in the ecosystem.

This class will be taught by Sam Teller. Sam is the Managing Director of Launchpad LA, a leading startup accelerator in Los Angeles. As Managing Director, Sam is focused on finding the best early stage companies and most talented entrepreneurs. Prior to leading Launchpad LA, Sam co-founded Charlie, a Los Angeles-based media company and interactive agency. At Charlie, he led new media strategy for top entertainment, corporate, and political clients, including Samuel L. Jackson, Tumblr, Rachel Zoe, and Dick Clark Productions. Before Charlie, Sam was a member of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and inaugural new media team. Sam was born and raised in Los Angeles and received a BA from Harvard College, where he was business manager of the Harvard Lampoon and wrote some of the earliest news stories about Facebook.com.
