This free event is an orientation to help developers and anyone interested in learning Ruby on Rails acquainted with the Ruby on Rails community in Los Angeles. We will canvas key events/meetups to attend, people, companies, blogs, hot issues, and more. Our speaker will share personal anecdotes and answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, you are welcome to network with a number of prominent folks in the ecosystem.

About Our Speaker:
Jeff Dickey is the lead engineer at ProductionBeast, a networking app for the entertainment industry. He grew up in Oregon and spent a few years in San Francisco at 7 different startups. He has been building Rails apps for about 4 years, including one that receives over 1 million requests per minute making it likely the largest Rails installation in the world. He is an instructor at General Assembly and very involved in the Ruby on Rails community.

I wish I could make it to this one, and may still - but late if I do. Malcolm . . .Meetup.com/NLP-LA

I so need and want to attend this event- but am already committed to The WestDoc Conference (9/15-9/18). Will you consider having another Intro to Ruby in a month or so?Also, is Mr. Dickey from Portland by any chance?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
