Fireside Chat with Cole Fox, CEO of ProtoHack

What's exciting at ProtoHack right now, and what's on CEO Cole Fox's mind these days? Join us for a Fireside Chat with him to find out.

Cole Fox, the CEO and co-founder of ProtoHack will be showcasing mini-tutorials of a few of the top drag-n-drop prototyping tools out there. By the end of this session, you will know which tools are great to use and how to build a polished, clickable visual representation of your app or website. Computers are recommended but not mandatory.

Cole’s passion is building startups and providing the space and resources needed for people to connect and cultivate their own innovative ideas. He began his journey in 2010 at LinkedIn where he helped companies better utilize the online network as a recruiting platform. A self-taught coder and website designer, Cole has partnered with numerous HR technology startups to enhance their marketing strategies and eventually created a conference to connect coders with hacking bootcamps. ProtoHack, the code-free hackathon for designers and business people, was the natural next-step for him.

I was INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED by this meetup. I passed on another better attended event to drive all the way across town because I was excited to see, and learn, hands-on, some of the existing prototyping tools that might be valuable to my work. The 2.5 hour event barely lasted 30 minutes.

The event specifically stated - "Cole Fox, will be showcasing mini-tutorials of a few of the top drag-n-drop prototyping tools out there. By the end of this session, you will know which tools are great to use and how to build a polished, clickable visual representation of your app or website. Computers are recommended but not mandatory." At NO point did we even look at the basics of how even ONE tool worked. I learned NOTHING about prototyping tools which was the only reason why I made all the effort to attend in the first place.
I could have googled Prototyping Tools and saved myself 4 productive hours of my day.

I did meet a few very nice people but that's about it.

    - 0 stars.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
