STEAMPUNK shoot!!!

Time for a STEAMPUNK shoot!!! I did one in Utah and here is the video for that shoot.

https://vimeo.com/67431575

I have all the wardrobe for this and its going to be amazing! Since the wardrobe was extremely pricey Im going to have to charge $40 per photographer for this one.

This location is pretty sweet for STEAMPUNK. Its a warehouse. You can use the warehouse as the background or you can bring and set up backdrops with your own equipment!

Bring lighting! Its a night shoot so you will need it.

June 15th

7pm to 10pm

Models need to be there at 4 to get makeup and hair done!

MODEL LIST!! More will be added as I book them!

So I did my last minute equipment check, my fog machine works, but I cannot find the fog juice lol.... Does anyone live close to a store where you can get one? :)

    June 15, 2013

    • Jay A.

Hey Marie if you have extra power cords would be nice to have em too :-)

      June 15, 2013

    • James H.

You guys are going all out lol. One day I'll get all my equipment as for as lighting and reflectors

      1 · June 15, 2013

  • Marie

I was going to bring a backdrop stand, a 24 inch softbox and some shoot through umbrella's and reflectors and some props. I don't know if this will be too much considering all of the equipment that seems to be coming. If someone wants to leave their stuff at home and shoot with me..that's OK. I need some experience setting up my equipment. I also may bring my husband to help me manage. He is NOT a shooter but a great reflector holder, very friendly and funny, tall and slim and does not take up much room.

Can I bring my kid brother (18) to help with my lighting? He doesn't have a camera or anything so he'll be strictly my assistant.

    June 14, 2013

    • Rene L.

Mos, there are going to be so many people there that I prefer people not bring assistants. In the past photographers end up helping each other with the lighting. I will also be there to help people in setting up as well. I have extra light stands, umbrellas, soft boxes and other light modifiers if anyone wants to borrow them.

Photographers can get there at six to start setting up. Photographers, do NOT show up before then since it will be hectic.

I will not be setting up any of my lights and so on which means that I can help you with yours and show you what I know about lighting.

If you have a facebook and model mayhem account, please forward that information on your request for images of the warehouse.

    Thank you.

Hi, this goes to everyone that is coming to the shoot at the warehouse this coming Saturday, send me your email address and I will send you some images of the warehouse so you have an idea of what to expect.

I have all of the models listed above email's so they don't need to respond. I know quite a few of you already but may not have your email address. So please send me a request for images of the warehouse and I will forward those to you.

As far as setting up, I know it takes time to set up and you can use each other to do test lighting and so on. The shoot is from 7 to 10 but the models will be there earlier to start getting ready.

Is it an empty warehouse ? Or does it have business things in it ?

      June 13, 2013

    • Rene L.

LOL!! Yes .. it has business things in it. We will be careful not to mess with the business things. I will be hosting and making sure everyone is shooting and having fun.

How's the availability of electrical outlets there? Do we need long extension cords and power strips for our lights?

    June 7, 2013

    • Kevin C.

Just how long? A few 25 footers or should I bring the 50's or 100?

Awesome. It's would be good to scout the area and see where everyone can set up their lighting. I'm too excited. I already did some homework. Checked out most if not all the models portfolio to see what kind of angle to shoot from, etc.

If i bring someone to help me set up, the other person has to pay $40?

    June 5, 2013

    • Tawny

      that would be awesome!

      June 5, 2013

    • Rene L.

In the past, aids have brought cameras and started taking "a few" pics. So since the space is limited, I would prefer not to have an aid. That doesn't mean you can't bring one but please be courteous! :)
