Planetfest-Curiosity Knows No Bounds

 

The Planetary Society will be holding a two day event to celebrate and monitor the landing of the Curiosity rover on the planet Mars. You will need to purchase tickets for this event from the Planetary Society and the information can be found on this link.  http://www.planetary.org/get-involved/events/planetfest-2012/ 

Planetfest is scheduled for

August 4, 2012 from 9:30 am until 5 pm - Saturday

AND

August 5, 2012 from  2:00 pm until 11:30 pm-This is the day/night of the actual landing.

    The speakers were fine but the displays generally sucked. The "full size curiosity engineering model" was an inflatable balloon!
