Arrgggh! Am having probs getting pics out...more later. Great fun, time and place to be today and nice meeting some new folks and remeeting others! How are the ribs Nathan? (I've never seen anyone get run over by a yak while standing in the water)...until today. :) Even though there was boat traffic on the lake, it was a nice change from being on the River and being able to relax a little more. Paul, I'm to do a little research and see what the lake folks' attitudes are as to camping.

Pam, are you wanting in a canoe with me? I have my yak and one for jenny. I can bring a canoe too! need to now before 0700 Sat

    September 17, 2010

  • Jim K

Folks, Brian...I'll not be bringing the short yak..as opposed to the sea yaks if no-one is wanting/claiming it. (Would rather not leave it in the truck). Will check this site at 0700 hrs, before leaving.

    I will bring extra PFD.
The ramp is pretty easy to find and actually only 20 miles or so from Middletown - but carpooling is fine. teresa, do you still need a canoe-mate or should I bring kayak?
Lets go with 9:00-9:15 at that WalMart -- preferably near the back where we are not interfering with the shoppers.
Should be fun, looking forward to it after a long week in the office.

I'm up for carpooling in Middletown too 9 am right?

    September 17, 2010

  • Jenny

I'm hoping there is room for me to carpool. I'm a newbie so I'm hoping it's ok for me to just show up at Walmart @9am which seems to be the consensus. If this changes or if I need to drive on my own, please feel free to call me or text me at[masked]-8703. Thanks!

How long is this gig? My experience is that it will usually go longer than intended and all should think about getting hungry and bringing stuff for yourselves or to share if you are that organized...I'm not. :)

if anyone still has an extra kayak, pfd for me to use I would like to go, but if not then no problem!

    Teresa -
I wouldn't mind sharing the canoe again. We can see how things play out between now and Saturday as far as an equal number of loaners and borrowers.
