Harrods Creek after work paddle

Paddle at Harrods Creek, we'll launch from the Harrods Creek Boat Harbor just behind Captains Quarters.  This paddle does not have an event hosts, so you should plan to arrive and self organize as to where to paddle.  Usually we paddle up the creek a few miles to the Great Blue Heron rookery, but paddling the Ohio River is also an option.

There is a fee to launch at Harrods Creek Boat Harbor which is $5 per kayak.  Yearly memberships are also available, see their website for more info.

Got there late and missed you all. Had a good paddle though, saw 2 beavers, lots of wildlife - weather was perfect.

Great time. Made it to the rookery! And for the record, Its more like a[masked] hr paddle one-way at a steady but leisurely pace. I will feel it in the AM.

I will always bring an extra board in the trunk if anyone want to try SUP for a change of perspective.

I would really like to try and launch promptly at six, paddle steadily, and make the end of the navigable part of the creek up to the rookery on this one for a change. Anyone that is interested in doing the same please bring some type of light as it will probably be dusk by the time we get back. Not interested? No prob.Come on out anyway. The beauty of these things is there are no rules. (except for the 5 bucks per boat fee).

2 more things. Disregard the signs about $10 parking fee at the entrance. If you are using the facility to launch your kayak or canoe the fee is $5/boat. 2nd: at the entrance SLOW DOWN!!! Very bumpy.

Thanks for letting us know. I don't think I've seen the rookery so that would be awesome to see!

Hope to make the rookery but I'm on-call so there's a chance that I'll have to bail at any point of the paddle.
