I friend and I paddled Floyds Fork yesterday on January 6. Put on at the Ash Ave bridge near the women's prison and paddled to the Taylorsville Rd/Hwy 155 park. 13.5 miles total. Took 5 hours which included a 30 minute stop for lunch. Air temps were 55 degrees and water 38 degrees. Water was at 58 cfs on the Fisherville USGS site.

Great trip. We paddled a 14 foot Heritage Pisgah touring kayak and a Dagger Blackwater 11.5. The Pisgah drug more then the Dagger, although we hit rocks in several areas. Not much current other then several small rapids areas. Water was crystal clear all the way to the bottom.

We averaged 2.5-3 mph on the gps. Put on at 11;30 and off at 5:00. Next time we will be on by 9 AM and look for flow closer to 250-300 cfs.
