Pretty cool if one has ever wanted to travel down...or up the River, or wanted some general good info about what those big green signs on the banks are, what those green and red things bobbing around in the water are for, or lock through.:)

You have to hunt around a little for these make sense. I've been using this site for a little bit for the info and not printing them out. I like using the charts mainly for the mileage values and also to take a virtual tour of what is where because I'm planning doing a little more of a paddle than have done before. When I do this, will just make some notes on a larger scale map.

River is considered to be 981 miles long starting around Pittsburg and ending where it meets the Miss.

Note that the charts themselves show river mile figures going downstream.

Note also that when dealing with the usarmy corps of engineers' pdf's that they count charts from the Miss Riv. up.

Go figure...

Anyway, there is some pretty good info there.

The Kentucky River charts are here (at least for now - they seem to keep moving):

These are the old Army Corps charts that the Kentucky River Authority now gets the USGS to keep updated somewhat.

Previously provided ohio river miles appears dead.

This link appears to be working

Ok...current USCOE river links/charts here:
Shame that they couldn't add a forwarding page of the previous page instead of a 404 dead page thingee.
