Cantabile (intermediate string ensemble) 3 Tuesdays & 1 Thursday in September

In this weekly class you will learn how to play in a string orchestra. Each rehearsal will start with violin, viola and cello "sectionals" led by our coaches, Barbara Don, Gherman Markosian and Leah Metzler. The coaches will help players with both their orchestra parts and smaller ensembles in which each section of the orchestra will have the opportunity to shine.  The rehearsal will continue with all sections joining together.

$80 tuition covers 3 Tuesdays (September 4,11,18 and 1 Thursday (Sept 27). You can bring a check made out to Barbara Don at the first meeting or use Paypal online.

The music is easy, beautiful, varied and fun and stays mainly in first position. Here are some of the pieces we will be playing in September:

Thought it takes concentration, the increasing complexity of the pieces is very educational. And playing with a group remains the very best thing.

Very instructive, especially as the music is getting slightly more difficult.
