Hands-On Tamale Making Class at Dave's House in Long Beach

  • May 18 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Dear members,

Our member Dave Reinhardt is generously opening his spacious house in Long Beach to teach us how to make homemade tamale.  We've had tamale making meetups in the past, but what I really like this time is that he'll show you how to make dough from scratch.)

We'll also make three kinds of filling:

-Chicken

-Pork

-Green chili and cheese

...I'm already drooling! lol

The class will start at 1pm and as you know the tamale making process is very time-consuming, so you shouldn't come with empty stomach even though light refreshments will be served as well..

To attend, please sign up with the prepayment of $15. The address will be sent only to the attendees who have paid. The house is located close to where 605 Fwy and 405 Fwy meet.

Thank you very much, Dave, for this special class and your generosity:-)

See you there!

Tamales, being one of my all time favorite foods, I also, would so much like to go to this one, but, it's not possible. And it's literally minutes from my home. I have a Memorial Service and a Baby Shower this afternoon, both of which are important for me to attend. I know how much work it is for the host to prepare all of what goes into making fillings, and what have you for tamales. I do hope there will be another opportunity in the future. Enjoy!

Hi Carmeliene, sorry this is a delayed reply and too bad you couldn't make it as it was such a fun event. But now I'm glad you're coming to the canning meetup at Dave's house which you say is close to you! Yes, it's a lot of work and we are so fortunate to have Dave in the group! Thank you for signing up for the canning meetup and paying for the dues. I look forward to meeting you!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
