This event is for the members who have paid the membership due of $5 by either credit/debit card, Amazon Payment, Paypal, cash or check.  Thank you for your payment! Now you're invited to this canning lesson by Dave on me!)

We'll meet at the farmers market.  Then go to Dave's house, around 1pm.

Dear members,

Thank you very much for paying the dues.  Now, that gives me tools to create more fun events like this.  It's a new series I just created and yep, I love to create a new series!)

It's to show my appreciation to the members who have been supporting this group because....  If you have paid the dues, you are invited to come to this cooking meetup freeeee to learn how to do canning!

Dave has demonstrated his cooking talent, experiences, skills and passion at the Tamale making meetup we just had a week ago.  We were so happy to be invited to his beautiful house and the spacious gourmet kitchen with high power burners - would be great to do stir fry!)

Anyway, we also noticed his jars of vegetables and pickles and being German descent I think it's a natural thing for him maybe?

We'll meet at the farmers market nearby his house at 12pm.  We pick our vegetables and fruits of your choice within the list to be sent separately.

2  lbs of vegetables per quart jar (1 lb. per pint jar, of your choice)

Dave says "you can do almost anything from cucumbers to watermelon rind to cherries.")

Then we'll go to Dave's house and learn how to pickle and can them.

I'll pay for the vegetables, ingredients, jars, etc, so all you need to bring is passion to learn.  It might be fun if we can bring our own vegetables or light snacks or appetizers to munch on.  It would be better to know what kinds of vegetables we'll use to can in advance, so we'll give you details later on the choice of veggies.

I will email the address to the attendees who have paid the dues.  If you like to pay by check or cash or Amazon Payment or Paypal, please email me.

Thank you very much, and see you there!

FYI I made 5 more jars of apple butter in crock pot. Its easier if you want to do 2 things at once like me.I used my blender to make smooth. Fewer things to wash too. Gonna try butternut squash and pumpkin butter next.

Dave, thank you for inviting us into your home and for teaching us how to can. Sally, as always you did an outstanding job organizing and everything else. Although, I learned lots about canning, I'm inviting all of you to my home to help me, because it's a lot more fun and less work when you cook with a group. I've learned more and enjoyed myself more with this group then in the past when I paid a lot of money for cooking lessons taught by professional chefs. Thank you for your generosity and hard work.

Thank you so much, Sally for organizing, planning and all of the rest that went into putting this together. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated. Dave, you are a great host and a wonderful teacher. Thanks so much for sharing your home and turning it into to a culinary school for the day! Will try all of these at some time in the very near future. (Christmas Basket, Visiting a Friend on the Mend, Picnic Offering, For the Friend Who Has Everything... ) Very nice day...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
