Dear members,

Roberta has been hosting many successful meetups at her place as you can see in the list of past events I'm attaching below.  We'e learned a lot from her expertise and enjoyed her awesome food.

Now Roberta has her own group called Wine Noir and this is a joint meetup with her group.

“What Wine Should I Drink With This?” will be an introduction to food and wine pairing.

We will savor five wines with five bites that are illustrative of basic pairing principles.

Wines and Small Bites Menu:

1) Scharffenberger Cellars Excellence Brut Rosé Sparkling, NV

w Pink grapefruit and avocado salad and Potato chips--don’t laugh; it will make sense

2) 2013 Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc

w Poached shrimp with spicy remoulade sauce

3) 2011 Tolosa Winery Estate Pinot Noir

w Chicken tender with mushroom sauce

4) 2012 Badia a Coltibuono Cetamura Chianti, DOCG

w Salume, Tuscan white beans and pecorino cheese

5) 2010 Rosenhof trokenbeerenauslese chardonnay--one of the most amazing dessert wines on the planet

w Mini fruit tart

I am looking forward to sharing wine and food and meeting people who share my love for the "gustatory" pleasures. I live in Santa Monica and would love to go with someone to Roberta's home on Saturday.

Hi Jolynn, sorry I couldn't reply sooner. Also I wanted to email last night to the attendees but somehow it didn't go through. Roberta moved from unit 405 which was originally posted to the unit 103 . I will email you shortly.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
