Hi everyone,

The owner Ben told me that the private room's not available now as they've got  some water problem, so I went there last night and he showed me another semi-private room above that can take 35 people. Looked very nice to me))

And you'll enjoy the belly dancing too!

He's also giving us discount. It will be a fixed menu because of the size of the party, but only for $22 plus tip and tax per person it'll be a lot of yummy food! And you can substitute some items for vegetarian.  If you drink, you pay individually.  Let me tell you, it's really bountiful of food and you'll be so full!

Prex-fixe menu includes:

1) Appetizer

Eggplant dip + pita bread

2) Brik

A Tunision favorite, fried turnover made with filo pastry and filled with a delicious mixture of eggs and potatoes. Seasoned with parsley, onions, and capers and served with lemon and harissa, a fiery North African hot sauce. For vegetarians, Brik can be made without the egg.

3) Salad with Mechoui

Mechoui is grilled strips of tender lamb, slowly marinated in Northern African spices and garnished with parsley and finely chopped onions and accompanied with 4 tasty salads:

Meshwiya: Roasted and pureed bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions.

North African Style Cucumber Salad: Diced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and green peppers seasoned to perfection.

North African Carrot Salad: Finely grated carrots seasoned with rosewater, lemon and sugar.

Pickled Carrots: Chunky carrot sliced and pickled with North African spices of cumin and garlic.

3) Bastilla

Moroccan savory pie filled with scrambled eggs, shredded chicken breast, and almonds. Baked in a tender flaky filo pastry and topped with powdered sugar and ground cinnamon. Can also be served without chicken & eggs. Please specify.

4) Lemon Chicken

A juicy whole chicken baked in its own juices and prepared with ginger, garlic, and paprika, then topped with preserved lemon slices, almonds, and plump green olives.

5) Couscous

fluffy, steamed semolina topped with sauced fresh vegetables including squash, carrots, potatoes, cabbage, and garbanzo beans.

6) Almond cake

A North African dessert delicacy consisting of a light almond cake drenched in a tangy sweet sauce made with the essence of lemon and cinnamon

7) Mint tea

It's an amazing deal!  And for vegetarians, you can substitute brik with Harira (lentil soup) and Salads without Mechoui and no chicken but another vegetarian dish.

See you soon!

I need every excuse to go to restaurants and this is a holy one.)

A few years back, my member from Tunisia invited me to a feast at her house. It was to celebrate the end of Ramadan, Islamic month of fasting. The food she and her sister cooked were so tasty I'm still drooling just thinking about the meal!!  I know nothing can beat well-prepared homemade meal, but at least I could go to a Tunisian restaurant to join the celebration maybe?  This year, Ramadan ends on August 17th in the US and Eid (Eid ul-Fitr, Festivity of breaking of the fast) starts at the sunset of the 18th..

Hi Ronnie, I just raised it to 25. Depending on the circumstances, I might need to collect some deposit like the time at Chado Tea Room to prevent no-shows... We'll see, but hope you can come with the guest))
