I love most anything French such as fois gras, tarte tatin, creme brulee, etc. I also like sushi and southern style food since I am orignally from Georgia.
The South of France.
I have been blessed to have many but one that comes to mind is the Thanksgiving pre-fixed menu at Upstairs 2 in West LA in 2009. It was a typical American Thanksgiving menu but everything was prepared with a bit of a twist to make each entree a touch different but yet very, very delicious!
I have never had any professional cooking classes but I do cook and try new recipes quite frequently, typically every weekend, and therefore feel my cooking is at least above a beginner's level. French is my favorite cuising to cook.
Since my husband and I own a second home in the South of France where we hope to retire to, I like trying to prepare myself to adjust to their culture so one of the ways I do this is by praticing the language skills and by trying new French recipes often.
